In 2013, my family has done some stuff. Not much, because twins are a hassle. I am not sugar coating it. The grocery is a pain in my ass, but I do it with them. So, that being said, here are some amazing events from our year.
KC, me, found her calling in life. She sells stuff. She sells makeup from Mary Kay and designs that a great host of women create. She isn't broke, nor is she at wits end. Also, she quit a job that brought her no joy. She has no shame in saying that finally cutting some strings made her smile. She also lost her waist and gained a greater sense of what true love it. She saw smiles, tears, heard laughter and screams from the most amazing set of twins ever. She heard them learn to speak, mimic her cuss words and give each other nicknames. She saw them color, join a school they love and frolic in a suburban yard with a fence. KC has been horrible at answering the phone, taking out the trash and doing household chores. Her nose has been accosted with so many pungent aromas, from sour diapers, day old trash, to fresh flowers that her mind is blown. Her wounds are healing, ever so slowly, and she sees her mommy in her kids every day. Not to mention... she has a few things in herself that remind her of her mother, good and bad. The bad ones need addressing before they become permanent. 2014 will be the year of seeking out help:)
Surround Sound endured so many changes, that they should be able to drive in the new year. Their knowledge has blossomed. They know the difference between a cow and a bull, a Hereford and a Brahman and hot and cold. They have eaten sugar, Mexican food and created a love affair with suckers of any kind. Their daily information comes from mommy, Mickey Mouse and CMT. Dancing is their hobby, boogers and poop are hot topics and they hate to eat cauliflower.
You can't get Calin in anything other than a pair of jeans. No way, no how. Dude wears them with pride. All be it, he wears a small size, but he is a munchkin. His 2 year check up informed him that he is small, but he knows dynamite comes in small packages. He loves his cowboy hat and has been stiffed on his payment for all the sales he has worked the ring on this fall:) He sure can push his bigger sister around, but come time to defend her at school and they say he steps up to the plate. For that, his mommy is grateful.
Charli is a hot, hot mess. Hair is always in shambles on this girl. No picture perfect princess here. Her family won't lie. She is a creature of her own world. She speaks in her own language, wears tutu's with boots and nothing else, can often be found sporting a plastic bowl on her head for a hat and is covered in bruises. To think she would be a dainty flower was pushing it a bit, but the family had high hopes that she would have more coordination that her mother.... as in, doesn't run into walls. No such luck. Oh well, there is always football. Girls make good kickers:) She dotes on her brother, gives the most fierce and amazing hugs and can throw a tantrum with the best of them. (Hair pulling included)
We don't really know what Chisolm did. He worked sales, put out magazines and spoiled his family with a new truck (which got smashed a little after one month of ownership). He continues to be able to hug and scream at Charli in a 5 second span. They have a love hate relationship. He is horribly afraid of spoiling her at a young age. He taught Calin the in's and out's of being a great ringman and how to properly turn in a bid, even without a person bidding.
2013 was a year for ER visits (2: one each kid), for building their mini Hereford herd, barn therapy, and trips to grandparents. 2013 also let their family hear Surround Sound call them by real name, made up names and curse words. Oops. It was also one filled with special visits, a balloon tribute to TK and closing up the house that built KCK.
FUN FACTS:
Charli Jo Kinder: Wears coffee filters on her head, has a large toe the size of most kids thumbs and is in the 96th percential for height. While sporting 3T clothes, she will step in any type of animal dung.
Calin Roy Kinder: Motorboated a waitress, got free meals at many establishments and melted the hearts of women everywhere. Simply put- he is his father.
The end:)

Thank You KC for brightening my day!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! You put into words what I feel all the time with my 3 boys (ages 8, 4 and almost 3). From one Hoosier mom to another, thank you for being blunt as hell. There are days I want to duct tape my boys to the wall.
